Possible 6 am closing time for nightclubs in certain places

I think its a good idea! When I was a reveller (only went out occasionally) but I felt My nights were always cut short!


Negatives clearly would be more anti social behaviour, people will be more drunk! That's probably enough for people to be against it!

you can drink till 6 in the morning and not think about the consequences of doing that, nor the impact of that on our health services or the taxes I'd have to pay for your treatment.

Drinking alcohol till 6 in the morning would deliver to the exchequer excise duties plus VAT along with other generators in the night time economy. Self sustaining

I'd genuinely be interested in hearing something constructive, but it seems you just want to complain about a shite health service, that you think wouldn't be impacted by allowing people to drink all night long.

Ridiculous that there are laws treating adults like children in a sweet shop, it makes alcohol more attractive by banning the sale of it at certain times.
Most of us would learn to move on home after about 8 hours drinking in my experience.

I really enjoyed back in the day Spain/Portugal/tenerife when clubs only got going around 2am! It was way more fun.

Other than sleeping during the day, you get into a bad routine!

Great idea. So now we'd have all the hassle when clubs close at two, to 7am when ppl head to work. We don't have the type of laws needed in this country nor the resources needed.

I'm among you here that youth is a distant memory but I can't see why this shouldn't be introduced. Not all clubs will stay open til 6am and surely it's better than a mass outpouring of party goers all leaving clubs at the same time.

During lockdown the government decided to close off licences at 7pm to cut down on the number of house parties but those rascals beat the curfew by buying their drink earlier in the evening - pure genius !

During lockdown I really really felt for the young people, almost 18 months where their social life was put on hold.

The majority will go out for a night and enjoy themselves while a few will go overboard but they will do this regardless of closing time.

They should close later than 2.30 maybe not 6 doesn't make sense for clubs and late bars all close at the same time everyone on the streets.

Some Fellas will only head out to start drinking much later and head home later

When it comes to drink in this country the majority drink too much. You can also have a very high chance of all of them pouring onto the streets at 6am particularly on busy times like paddies day etc.
