WWI was just human waste...helpless soldiers being sent into pointless battles and the result was the pointless death of far too many soldiers. In Vietnam...the Americans had a high ratio of black soldiers considering the much lower demographic these young black men came from. Ho Chi Minh said he could lose ten men for every American they killed and Vietnam would win the war (or something very close to that). None of them give a fuck about their soldiers in my opinion. They send them to die while they sit in safety giving orders. That's my opinion of course.

During the opening sequences of and well into WWI, Africans were used as cannon fodder like lambs to slaughter on the very front lines by the British and French. Totally expendable.. you won't see many cenotaphs in Enniskillen, Leicester or Motherwell to the human sacrifices of Mali, etc.

WWI was a horror. Basically machine guns were relatively new so it turned into a fucking mess. All them leaders (a lot actually were cousins) were a bunch of dirty bastards. They should strap on their own AK and go fight if they like the cowardly fuckers. They wouldn't squash a grape in a fruit fight...but they'll send thousands to die. Cannon fodder is right.

What's concerning is that Putin moved most of his family to an under ground city somewhere in Siberia.. by the summer the west is going to be involved in direct conventional confrontation with Russia. Will the Chinese try to stay in the middle ground? Both side will have the nuclear option in reserve. Is Putin and those around him bad enough to resort to Satan 2? Who knows.
The west has nuclear subs dotted below the surface on either side of Russia, and putin must know that if they use nuclear weapons, everywhere in Russia from St petersburg & Moscow to Vladivostok will be reduced to very large car parks if they go down that road.
