Putin had no justification for this. It is completely illegal, and beyond that, I fail to see how Kiev is part of donbas region, so how justify attacking there?

Agreed 100%. I'm not a fan of Zalensky because of one reason. His attitude seems to be Ukraine is being destroyed but we will destroy Russia but want peace?? He can't have it every way. Putin had a chance to sit down democratically to resolve the issue but he chose not to. He was right as far as security issues go but they weren't serious enough security issues to justify this war.

I think his own will turn on him over time. I keep thinking about Gaddafi and think the same fate awaits Putin. He might resort to nukes if pushed into a cornor but Nato will definitely be analysing a response to that in a worst case scenario.

You are forgetting they did sit down democratically in Minsk in 2015 when peace deal was brokered to mutual satisfaction of all parties involved. Since then Zelenskiy did f all to implement any of it, encouraged by you know who...Same democrat who appointed him.

As the US senator said "We will fight Russia in Ukraine, untill the last Ukrainian". Well they are keeping to their promise.
