no good will come of NATO expansion , even if this goes against Russia the Chinese are waiting .

You're suggesting NATO took over those countries?

Plus just to nit pick, you realize your cartoon totally misses out what has happened and in fact creates a straw man. The bear has attacked Ukraine, not the US or NATO.

In my opinion Putin wants Ukraine because
    1. it used to be part of Russia.
    2. It's relatively wealthy with resources.
    3. It has a warm sea port that doesn't freeze like other Russian ports.

I can't see him taking on NATO, because that's a whole different ball game.

The Ukraine is gone, and nothing substantial will be done about it. Sanctions are a joke, Putin couldn't care less.
    We are only hurting ourselves.

That's my opinion of it all.

Forget about it and don't let it worry you.

And please, don’t start quoting me previous altercations with USA, Europe, etc. and how it was caused by this or that. This is now, an ordinary country trying to live their lives.
You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

The Ukrainian government is full of fascists and Nazis. It's no "ordinary country" at all. What gave you that idea?

Here is an article written by Reuters talking about the problems of Ukraine. I've never heard of it being called "an ordinary country" before.

The article you posted relates to the previous President Petro Poroshenko's government and is 4 years old. It references "sympathizers" to "far-right militia groups" in his administration.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is Jewish and his family fought the Nazis in WWII.

Ukraine’s Jewish President Zelenskiy asks Putin: ‘How could I be a Nazi?’ by ZOYA SHEFTALOVICH
    February 24, 2022

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday declared war on Ukraine and pledged to oversee a “demilitarization and de-Nazification” of the country — which is led by a Jewish president.

Hours before Putin’s televised address, Volodymyr Zelenskiy had delivered his own final, powerful but ultimately fruitless plea for peace, in which he pushed back at Putin’s unfounded accusations that Ukraine was being run by Nazis.

Addressing the Russian public directly and in Russian, his native language, Zelenskiy said: “The Ukraine on your news and Ukraine in real life are two completely different countries — and the main difference between them is: Ours is real. You are told we are Nazis. But could a people who lost more than 8 million lives in the battle against Nazism support Nazism?”

After a pregnant pause, Zelenskiy, who is Jewish — though he did not explicitly say that in the video — added: “How can I be a Nazi? Explain it to my grandfather, who went through the entire war in the infantry of the Soviet army, and died a colonel in an independent Ukraine.”

The Ukrainian president has said that three of his grandfather’s brothers were killed in the Holocaust.

Zelenskiy called on Russians to consider the cost of war and debunked Putin’s talking points.

“What are you fighting for and with whom?” Zelenskiy asked Russians. “Many of you have been to Ukraine. Many of you have family in Ukraine. Some have studied in Ukrainian universities. Some have been friends with Ukrainians. You know our character. You know our people. You know our principles. You know what we value. So listen to yourselves. Listen to reason.”

Zelenskiy: contribution of Ukrainians in victory over Nazism huge by Interfax-Ukraine.
    Published May 9, 2019 at 1:19 pm

President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy visited his native city Kryvy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) on the Victory Day over Nazism in the Second World War, where he came to the grave of his grandfather who fought during the Second World War.

“Today I am at the grave of my grandfather Semen Ivanovych Zelensky. He went through the war and remained forever in my memory as one of those heroes who defended Ukraine from the Nazis. It is a pity that we so rarely remember veterans, our grandparents. We should be grateful them every day,” Zelenskiy wrote on his page in the social network Facebook on Thursday.

Zelenskiy said that May 9th today is “our Thanksgiving Day.”

“Thanksgiving for the fact that the inhuman ideology of Nazism is a thing of the past, thanksgiving to those who fought against Nazism – and won, thanksgiving everyone for the opportunity to be born and live,” he wrote.

Zelenskiy said that the war touched every Ukrainian family, and the contribution of Ukrainians to the victory is huge. “No one has the right to privatize this victory, to say that it could have happened without Ukrainians. We remember those who had lost their lives. And we honor those who are still alive, there are very few of them left,” he wrote.

“Congratulations on the Victory over Nazism!” We will live!” he added.

I do trust Reuters as a great source of information but you can not trust any western media opinions about Russia. As they are not slandering Russia here or even talking about them directly I think it's reliable.
