    Default The Christmas bonus.

Has anyone else employer decided that cash is no longer an appropriate Christmas bonus. This year my job has decided to switch from cash to Dunnes stores vouchers for ours. Wouldn't be bad if they were one for all voucher but Dunnes stores vouchers!!!. What's wrong with good old fashioned cash.

Yeah, it’s all vouchers now…for the same company you work at so it all goes back to them in the end which is kind of funny 😂

They probably know you're a dirty old man and decided to not give you cash because they knew you'd spend it on escorts

Use to get my December payment early before Christmas with a €50/€100 Tesco voucher included with the Salary slip.
My wife was always happy to receive the Tesco voucher.
    The voucher was tax free.

Used to get 2.600 a couple of weeks before Christmas. Now we are lucky if we get a 250 one for all voucher. Better than most I suppose.

    I don’t get a bonus or a raise, but sometimes I do give raises… :-/

In other respects, even if the money would be a more attractive bonus for most of us, we do have to remind ourselves that some aren’t as lucky as we are and maybe don’t receive even that 250 one for all voucher. This is the perfect time to be grateful even for that little thing that we have. It’s the small things that count xxxx

Although Dunnes vouchers restrict you to one merchant, overall they are better option.
One 4 all take a hefty commission from the merchant. I know a few shopkeepers that say that when a customer produces a one 4 all voucher it takes the goodness out of the deal. Especially if the customer has negotiated a discount before producing the voucher.
