I didn't agree with them groups that keep going on about Black Lives Matter, Every life matters, be it black or white. What happened to Floyd was wrong and American justice made the correct decision. We have to accept there are racist people out there and that won't change. Ignore them and if they step out of line hopefully the justice system will deal with them

I done videos of Black Paddy here, we have the craic, he one of us and we love him to bits but we can laugh at ourselves too.

This is the most typical response unfortunately. At no point were there any protests stating all lives did not matter. Protesting the protection of whales does not mean nobody cares about dolphins.
I dont pretend to know every reason for the protests but "simply ignore them" isn´t going to change fuck all and the very last thing we should be doing.

Yeah, they didn't name it "only black lives matter"

So you would have to ask, within the black community do these childrens lives matter all that much to the absent Fathers.

While 74.3 percent of all White children below the age of 18 live with both parents, only 38.7 percent of African-American minors can say the same.

Instead, more than one-third of all Black children in the United States under the age of 18 live with unmarried mothers—compared to 6.5 percent of White children.

Thank you for your input, but anyway, I think we should go back to the point where we ask ourselves whether the punishment has been enough.
I'm not sure what you want to contribute to this thread, but I don't quite understand you.

    Long enough ?

What of BLM that sprung from the killings?

Two things, first the photo is not showing a "father figure", it is showing advantaged and disadvantaged people who are trying to achieve the same goal.

Secondly your statistic is a perfect example - don't you think these statistics you provided lead to systemic disadvantage? In this case "equality of assistance" may not be enough to achieve equality of result. In the absence of removing the barrier, it may be that more assistance is needed for those who are disadvantaged.

None of that has anything to do with personal responsibility or accountability. Which, honestly, everyone believes in, right and left equally.

I think the sentence will never make everyone happy, for some it's too long, for others not long enough.

The goal is a civilized, equitable and just society, and I think it's fair to say there are not a lot of examples of this when it comes to police killings in the USA.

So based on that I would call it progress, a step in the right direction. There are no winners in this case.

There is a culture within the black community of the young men disregarding their responsibilities when they get a young black woman pregnant, and leaving her for another woman. And to an extent the culture is supported by young black women boasting of stealing yo' man and where yo' man at. It might not be politically correct to say this, but it is true.
Comedians such as Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle and others have whole routines based on this type of prevalent behaviour.

It depends what type of assistance you are advocating. Materially it is more advantageous at the moment for the single Mother to claim welfare. You could argue that this encourages the culture of households with no father figure.

Personal accountability and responsibility is about sticking around and help raising your child so that at 14 years of age he doesn't join a gang and become a gang banger because he wants to help his mother put food on the table and buy nice clothes for himself.
Drug dealers and gang bangers raising kids instead of the kids fathers. Teaching them how to step across each other to climb the drug trade ladder.

If the black community don't begin to treat each other with respect, their women, their children, then the words of BLM seem hollow when other communities hear them.

Of course this isn't every black family, but it is the pervading culture within the community. Defunding the police won't change that.

This is in no way hate speech or racist. It's a realistic look at one of the big social problems in African American communities.

I do realise the irony of my point on this an escort website. I am a single guy if that makes any difference.
