I think we are all v challenged just now and rows around this Covid thing are inevitable as some want no restrictions others more

I see no winners no one having a good time (Bezos excluded)

I have tuned out to an extent and now heavily limit my consumption of news on Covid for my own wellbeing , I think we all need to be understanding and forgiving to each other where we can and be a bit human and kind to ourselves and others

this is a pile of Shite but we are all in it

But it will end I believe hopefully by September , but many landmines in the way

Unfortunately there is no solution available which will not cause hurt, disruption or conflict in one way or another... I too am on the side for peace

I am just wanting to know , wanting to understand .

I cannot imagine what it must be like to live with such upheaval - feel for each who suffers it x

But really , you as someone who seems sensitive to the local : you think London will

Willingly give up NIre in the midst of the mess of Brexit that it created ??

Don’t know “which side” you’re on . : I am on the side of peace and preventing conflict .

Not inflaming age old hurts and pain and grudges . Bombing buses and hurting ppl .

What do You think will be the solution to the NIre ‘problem’ re Brexit ??
Stephanie the Brits would love to give up the North at the drop of a hat. They don't want us and Dublin probably don't want us but no Dublin government would ever admit that.

I do hope that I will live to see a United Ireland and if it ever does happen there would need to be a lot of financial support from the US and EU to start of with anyway.

But hopefully after a few years we would become more successful economically as a United nation. Look at Germany after reunification - it was a mess.
But look at Germany now. It will take time but we will get there.

Well just look at the Brexit deal. As long as those in GB got sorted in the deal that was the main thing. The North was an after thought.

This all goes back 100 years to the partition of Ireland. The Brits had lost control if much of the South but were afraid of Carson and the Unionists in the North who wanted to remain in the UK.
Partition was a balls up from day 1. The 6 counties were chosen and not the 9 nine counties of Ulster so that there would be a Protestant Unionist majority.

100 years on and there are probably as many Catholics as Protestants and indeed maybe more.

If there were a border poll would all the Catholics vote for a United Ireland? No, I think a fair percentage would vote to remain.

Would all the Protestants vote to remain in the UK ? Again no but I think the vast majority would.

So as it stands Stephanie London can't simply wash their hands of us and all because of an agreement signed 100 years ago.

you can't keep locked down forever and people have had enough, the governments handled this very badly and lied, I do think they had another agenda here but if things got bad again people would not adhere to another lockdown
