Some pretty solid advice here. I also suggest that btc and eth are some of the best investments for the long term. Even with a crash incoming those currencies will be worth holding.

You should always view these things as part of an investment strategy.
That is High risk V Low risk
Liquid V Illiquid
Crypto can be a mugs game and it depends on the 'Greater fool' idea you just have to decide if you're the greater or the lesser fool (and I'm not trying to be insulting).
So decide your Investment strategy depending on your taste for risk (BTW Irish bank shares were never a good idea as never invest everything in a single asset class, that's managing risk 101).
Decide what you're prepared to lose and by all means go into Crypto and take the profits if they are there but don't cry over spilled milk if you can't find a bigger fool.
I bought a variety of different ones 2 weeks ago
5 coins tanked.
1 is sightly up.
I'm down about 10k. Lol
Everyone says wait a month or so and they'll recover.
I think I'll stick to my day job. Lol
If you are investing in alt coins, patience is key. Just drop a small amount like you would pay for a burrito or whatever you would treat yourself for lunch/dinner. Then you just forget about it and check again in 1 month time if you can help it!

2 things in life are unavoidable, death and taxes.
Digital currency isn't as untraceable as they would like us to believe. As an Irish resident and citizen there is little option but to pay the damn tax. Otherwise the penalties and interest is rather severe.
Binance do not ‘now have there headquarters in Dublin’ …. This is not true. There are plans to make moves here but this not established. Their HQ is still in the Cayman Islands.

I’m unsure as to why you are giving me this extra information. I am well aware of this and am qualified in the area of tax.
I am simply going on what you said ….. ‘Binance now have their headquarters in Dublin’…..This is false information. Yes there was an article in the Independent at the end of November on this where it said there were plans in the pipeline to establish a base.
Again , Binance headquarters are not in Dublin like you initially posted. I’m Just informing people that this is not true.
Registering a name with .ie means little.
Also, revenue is not as up-to-date with crypto in this country as you might think.
If you’re relying on Reddit for your education I understand your mistake.
