For those interested in horse itself
Its name was MORGAN. It cost €170,000. It was owned by Giginstown stud.
It did win 3 or 4 races but was no superstar.
Enough of this talk about meat!

Meat factories are regulated by at least 2 dept of Ag vets, one in the lairage and one one the line.
However, there are several factories where Halal ritual slaughter takes place......this is a horrible end for the animal.
Racing isn't the only controversial equine sport, the use of spurs in showjumping and the rollkur in dressage age both welfare unfriendly, but common place.
Not to mention the use of performance enhancing (or not enhancing!) drugs.
The regulatory authorities are well aware of these issues and are gradually making progress to eliminate them.
Personally, I think the current issues to be tackled are greyhound coursing, road racing trotters (both in ireland), then bullfighting in Spain and fur farming everywhere.
I abhor animal cruelty, except for the dog who shits on my lawn, hope he gets neutered without anaesthetic!
