They have been stopping for months and fining people.The garda had completely blocked all southern bound traffic on the main road between Newry and Dundalk.Its only now that they brought in new legislation that people and the media think its infringing upon their liberties.I dont think the measures are strong enough.If i had my way i would burn your car at the side of the road,strip you naked and fine you a thousand quid and send you on your way with a bin bag to collect all the litter along the road on your way home.And you would have to do it smiling on I'd double the penalty.
