Only three choices.
1. Get the vaccine.
2. Live like a hermit with no social contact.
3. Get the virus and take the consequences.
The vaccine doesn't stop you getting the virus, the vaccine helps your immune system fight the virus.
Civility costs you nothing.

It's like, will I get the vaccine? oh I dunno, maybe maybe not. what the fuck? If you get infected you might have no symptoms at all or you might have permanent lung damage (long covid) or you might wake up dead! It's a fucking no brainer, get the vaccine when it's available to you (except for extreme allergies)

Kinda frustrating topic...
Last March I was banjoed with a flu, couldn't get a test, was v unwell for ten days. Was in rag order..all covid symptoms. convinced I had it, fortunately got better. Couldn't get a test at the time as they weren't able cope with demand.
Had antibody test 12weeks after, not much use.
This Year, early Jan, had very very very mild symptoms, runny nose, cough, but a lethargic like never before. I worked from home, followed the protocols as unconsciously I didn't wanna kill any aul ones/fellas in the areas. Possibly fall victim to a bit if self diagnosed SAD seasonal affective disorder, But I treat that with healthy foods, lifestyle, light therapy and it makes a big impact compared to not taking the steps..so I dunno are they connected or separate, I wasn't keen on going the test centre and to be honest knew I'd be okay and wasn't in danger.
Regards vaccine...if you had c19, do you need it?
If I had it, unbeknownst to me, is it not a waste of a vial?
Last but not least..I'd take anything at this stage to get us outta this BS , my question though, time will tell, are you not afraid of side effects down the road, like the narcolepsy that occurred in children some time after a new vaccine was introduced...no I'm not an anti vac, I'm not well up enough on the info out there, I'm not getting my info from fb posts, but I'd be a lil afraid, but I'm in the mindset now, nothing can be worse than than this...really n truely, this is beyond tolerable now.
(I am okay and not about do something silly) but it's defo been a long time living like this, sigh.. 💪💉
You should think a little more about that.
When most people are vaccinated, they may carry it but they become asymptomatic and so virus spread is minimised. This leads to a much greater chance that the virus won't have the opportunity to mutate.
If you do pick it up, and are vaccinated, your immune system which has now been trained how to fight it, will fight it off, and it's very likely if you get a similar mutation in future it will have been well prepared for that too.
There are no certainties in life, but not taking protective measures because you don't know if or when an accident will happen enrolls you in candidacy for the Darwin awards.
Do you also not wear a bicycle helmet because it does not offer you enough protection?

How do they know who had covid and who didn't in the first place? I think almost everyone at some stage had some touch of it. Thing is we all have different immune systems and would have had different levels of Covid. My point here is that ppl who have already had it and whose immunity dealt with it won't get much out of a vaccine IMO. A vaccine does not promise immunity in everyone who takes it.

Every medication has risks, that's why they test it, but sometimes unexpected things still happen.
Specifically if you've worried about narcolepsy, well it wasn't "down the road", it was 2-4 months on average after receiving the vaccine, and while it was a significant increased risk of developing narcolepsy, you still only had a less than 1 in 20,000 chance of getting a treatable illness, vs a minimum of 20 in 20,000 chances of dying from covid.
Plus the studies all indicated that it was unlikely that the vaccine on its own was the cause of this.
But even if it was, I'd still take those odds.
And I'm more worried about the toxins I'm putting into my body daily from the plastic my food is wrapped in, the chemicals sprayed on my vegetables and the drugs pumped into the meat we eat.
