Is it time when we receive negative feedback we see where it comes from?
Too many times posters believe it comes from other posters but maybe it comes from elsewhere?

For example a post I made received 125 negative feedback within 20 minutes from posting.
Must have been very unpopular and I didn’t think so many posters would have been online during that time lol

How do you even see that? I know you see the thanks but I don’t where the negative part is. Genuine question. I think I remember your post. Nothing in it for such negative feedback

125 rep? That probably came from one poster. The number of rep points given depends on the sender's status. I don't fully understand the system but I think I can give over 300 each time. Make a few useful posts and some of the old-timers on here could probably put you green with one click.

You can see it in settings - latest reputation received.

You can also see your reputation power. Mine is 284 at the moment. So you didn't get 125 individual negative reps.

Imagine a bunch of young men stole a briefcase full of covid vaccines that were allocated to the vulnerable and elderly and instead of actually vaccinating themselves, started squirting the solution at one another in some sort of deranged water fight. That's what the reputation bar is like when it's used by punters. It wasn't meant for us, was it? It was more than likely meant to help escorts quickly sort the wheat from the chaff, and yet here's the punters assassinating other punters' character and reputation for no real reason other than we don't like them or we simply disagree with them about something.

I went from being a good egg to a bad egg - based on the reputation bar, that is - because I wrote a drunken post about gin and dinosaurs. That should tell you Marcus that the whole thing is a bit silly really. It's annoying - don't get me wrong - but the only advice I'd give you Marcus is NOT to adjust your opinions based on what you think might result in the lads enhancing or ruining your reputation.

Let them have their water fight with the covid vaccines.

Not exactly clear why you have red bars
To me they are the method of picking up the usual suspects who are a definite problem and most deserve them but as I say not sure why your on the Red alert , Eagle is a bit OTT when challenged and I am guessing he has pissed a few others off hence his .

Maybe a re set for you is in order

I got a load of negative rep (2 x -210 points) from an Established poster because I called out a Covid denying anti-vaccine loony that was posting complete rubbish on here

The reality is the establishment don’t like being challenged. There are a lot of precious people on this site.
