well they didn't get 5 penalties, 3 of them 15pts was a drop goal. I wouldn't blame them for taking their points from the penalties. The boks almost got punished for not doing that. Ya that was a costly line out for england, another score then and they would probably have won it. Its hard to call the final, will the boks have learned more from tonights game than new zealand did last night? Should be a good final.Originally Posted by 64west

Delighted England lost.
Also I don't want new Zealand to win it and South Africa will be hard to beat in the final.

I think France should have played Eng tonight and maybe be in the Final next week.
Only for kolbe heroics vs Fra. The Boks beat France by 1 point. Kolbe Blocked a conversion and showed unbelievable bursts of pace.

Ireland were the better team in the QF! NZ have been poor the last couple of years too. Don't deserve to win it.

Fair point considering New Zealand’s form in 2021 & 2022. But on tournament form I still give AllBlacks the edge on the night. The World Cup is played over 8 weeks and not 4years.
Have a look at recent match ups between these two sides earlier in the year. Its setup to be an unpredictable Final.
All blacks beat SA by 15, then Boks take 33pt win (SA 35-7) just before the tournament.
Based on tournament form, Including their QF performances we should be preparing for Ireland - France Final (or Ire - Eng). But Jodie Barrett, a player that wouldn’t be out of place with the greats of AllBlack rugby, was the difference in holding up a try. Kolbe’s all round performance to stay in this game and blocked conversion the difference. The margins fine in these two Quarter Finals.
