Mark Allen starts his campaign today.

McGill beats Highfield 10-7. Allen is 4-4 with Donaldson.

A break of 109 gives Allen a 5-4 lead. They play to a finish tonight.

Mark Williams into the last 16 with a commanding 10-3 victory over Michael White.

Robertson is 3-1 down at the first interval.

Robertson has turned it around. He leads 6-3 after the first session.

7-6 now to allen. It might go all the way to a decider. There's usually one first round game that does.

Mark Allen needs to lose some weight...he is too heavy. He's a top player, but I see him stretching for shots and sometimes rushing an awkward shot. He could be a World champion with his talent, but I wonder about his stamina in the World Championship which is a marathon. He should win here I think...he definitely won't want a decider. The winner plays Ronnie.
