EscortFans is part of Lazarus, which is regsitered in the Canary Islands (which is outside the scope of VAT), which is a part of Spain (So still inside the EU).

This is beneficial to the Escort, as the invoice for the sevice between Escort->Lazarus will be reverse charged VAT... So no VAT to be paid by the Escort.
This is a problem at other platforms which are operated from the UK, as VAT may be applicable between the Escort->Platform.

Just a question, how can you reverse VAT charges if you are exempt from VAT to start with? This is just a question, not an attack.

I am not an accountant but am in the process of leaving my current accountant as some accountants ain't what they crack up to be either :-)

I am not legally obligated to reverse though - I am VAT exempt. So really confused. By this I mean, if we are both exempt, where is the VAT money going? Just trying to learn how it works.

I can totally understand this if you were registered in a country where VAT applies, but not in this case

There is no VAT money, im not sure what you mean?

ie:

you provide me with €100 of services

the bill says: €100 + VAT (reverse charge applies) so total = €100

i pay you €100 and the vat is my responsability... as VAT doesnt apply in Canary Islands there is nothing further to do.


This is solely discussing the escorts income...if your talking about the VAT paid by Fans, then that money goes to the relevant vat authority under VAT MOSS.

Yes the Fan pays VAT. Your VAT status is irrelevant for the purpose of the subscription as (for the purposes of VAT), the Fan is buying the subscription from the platform and therefor VAT applies.

For the payment from the platform -> escort, the location of the platform is very important for the purposes of VAT.
