I realise that evolution does not happen overnight, but what might be the evolutionary effect of long term social distancing?

Yes. That's certainly a possibility, but nature tends to find a way of dealing with the impossible.
I posted this thread following on from a recent drunken conversation where a friend reckoned that future man would have a 2 meter penis, whereas I argued that females would become more attractive to entice males to mate even if it meant risking ones life.
