Been stopped by guards, when I went food shopping. I know new rule allows outside 2km for food shopping but was within 2km of home anyway.
Was on way back and explained that to the Guard. He asked to see Grocery receipt, he then checked time on receipt, again I know I didn't have to give him receipt but was happy to do so. Heard a lot of people who said they have been stopped and asked questions about why they were out, where they were going, etc. All happy to supply info, any other time they would have told guards to eff off.

Here in Spain, if you say you were shopping police will ask for receipt as proof you are telling the truth. If you have no backup on what you say they will fine you.

When I go out shopping, I don't think they would ever ask me for a receipt

In my opinion the police should ask and fine those who are out and about for the sake of it.

are you suggesting Rachel that they adopt a 'Fine First Ask Questions Later' policy?

Any idea what should I say tomorrow in case I'm stopped?
Have to travel at 50 km outside town to pick up somebody but of course I have to give a different reason.
