    Default charity

Do you support charitable organisation at Christmas? I was having a pint today with a few friends when one said that a speaker from a charity spoke at mass this morning it got me thinking is this the church looking for more money and how many charities are they behind?
Never confuse education with intelligence One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life.

Been honest very skeptical of a lotmof them, much happier to support local small.charities. I try not to give money to people.on the street preferring to get them a hot drink or a sandwich or something to eat, bit sometimes give cash even knowing it may well go.on drugs or drink etc.

Seen so many homeless people every night as I'm always around town at night means I never forget how lucky I am to have somewhere nice warm and secure to live.

I agree, especially at this time of the year, offer a warm drink or some food rather than giving cash.

I always did but found that very little was actually reaching these that really needed it with the ones running it taking most, I more now support local causes and events for cancer, homelessness and others where 100% goes to those its intended for

    Charity always begins at home.
Which is why I keep my hand in my pocket.
To some though it looks like I'm a wanker

I give monthly to a few charities, though not if the church has anything to do with them.
