She is Irish, from NI, thinks sex is purely for procreation, if you enjoy it you are a sinner. Priests, nuns and Virgin Mary didnt have sex and they are all good people so having sex for fun is automatically bad. Hence the whole guilt trip and hang ups most Irish women especially older ones have about sex.
