    Storm betty had a big impact in some areas, mainly the south east and parts of dublin. Trees down and a lucky escape for a taxi driver in dublin.

    Storm Agnes is on its way. Expected in Ireland on Wednesday. Not expected to be very strong nor cause much damage. Hope that is not famous last words!

    It is the first named storm of this season, which runs from 1 September until 31 August.

    Reports of trees down in Cork already. Storm warning does not officially come into force until 9:00am so Agnes's watch must be fast.

    Yes, the storm that was BETTY did affect the south east and parts of Dublin... hopefully that particular storm will return.... I do miss her very special skills and her dynamite character....
