Everyone here knows how important the Amazon Rainforest is regarding how important part it plays regarding worldwide climate.
The thing is that EVEN the BBC are saying in this report that there has been a lot of fake news, old footage,etc.

Macron has led the calls in this last few days for a major investigation but why now and not 2 weeks ago ?

I don't know what is the truth here. Is it natural this time of year for so many fires. History would say it is.

Is it because Bolsonaro withdrew protection to the rainforest to promote farming ? Or is it the work of NGOs as he states?

Fucked if I know.

All I do know is that this place has to be protected for the future of this planet.
Instead of the EU & the US making deals re trade deals encouraging more widespread farming practices there should be a worldwide effort to sustain this natural necessity of this planet and their people and all the millions of species that live there.
