Default Chlamydia vaccine looks hopeful 💉

Not much consolation for the 161 newly diagnosed cases in Ireland last week alone, but as we approach the post antibiotic era due to increasing antimicrobial resistance, it’s good to hear that a vaccine may be available in the future.

I read somewhere that Koalas carry the chlamydia virus, don't know if that's true or not.
Anyway back on topic, this is fantastic news - 161 new cases last week? Not out of time then for a vaccine.

    Depressing reading Barney.

At the moment Chlamydia is relatively easily treated, but will likely develop resistance to the current drugs, so a vaccine will be very welcome.

If it was not a disease I do think that the word "Chlamydia" would be a great name for a girl. It just sounds good. Bet it doesn't feel good though.
