Yes and no. There's a difference between being embarrassed and knowing the law offers no protection in the event that being out puts you in danger. B it harrassment (even from other sex workers), homelessness (even if you don't work from your flat), a sudden unwillingness to process your claim (asylum seekers), threats of violence, and hell intimidation from 'Da law' itself.
Admittedly there were those socially positioned to take a stand , and do so safely but they somehow failed to converge their efforts and the ones who did got more talk of support from other sex workers than real. All the same you stand an outsider to the issues , proselytising upon things you know nothing of and as far as I can see from your disgraceful hi-key msyognistic attitude , have done nothing about.
