Only been to a couple in UK and some time ago although I have attended many swingers parties/clubs overseas. The scene in Ireland
is rather limited and largely closed to single males. Clubs are generally open on an on-going basis and some would hold a number of events every week. In the UK some clubs welcome single men but there are often restrictions e.g. couple only areas.
It can sometimes be difficult to hook up with a single female or couple at these events and can be very frustrating.
Parties ( I assume this is where the meet up with Rio occurred) are not usually regular events and may be by invite only. They are also a grey area in terms of the law
as it could and has been argued that they are a form of prostitution because of allegations that some of the participants are paid to be present. The expectation would be that having paid a fee that sex would be readily available.
