Thread: Escorts who advertise as independent.

  1. Default Escorts who advertise as independent.

    Hey all,

Long time lurker, never felt the need to post before.
Had a punt on Saturday in Ballsbridge with an escort who described herself as "100% independent", she had good reviews so I took the plunge.
Once I entered the apartment funds were exchanged and I jumped into the shower. When I came back out and walked to the room I could hear what was obviously another escort working in the next bedroom.
I went through with the booking, which was really excellent however I felt it was disingenuous to advertise as independent when clearly there are other girls working in the same location.

Have other people experienced similar? Is it acceptable at this stage to ask for a refund?

I always thought "Independent " simply meant not pimped ie working for herself. I imagine ALL girls have someone else in the apartment for safety. Whether that is another working girl, a maid, or bouncer. Can't imagine the danger if girl is by herself.

As others have posted, she is independent and you had a great experience, be grateful )), most girls in apartments share and it would not be financially feasible to pay the rent on their own.

You could take it up with the better business bureau

In fairness I don't understand why this comes up over and over. As a client you are already breaking the law whether the lady is alone or there are others sharing the location. There is some argument that the higher traffic attracts more attention but honestly the better escorts know what they are doing and minimise the risk with good selection of location.

Well you learn something new every day. Cheers for that, I just assumed independent was only girl working there.

Nothing about being grateful - more so self preservation and mitigating the risk of my name appearing in the paper for visiting a knocking shop

The law stupidly classifies two ladies sharing an apartment and working from the same location as a brothel and that any client who visits is commiting a crime by going there.
Any purchase of sexual services is a crime, regardless of the lady is working alone or in a brothel. It is only on the escorts side that they are committing a crime by operating a brothel if more than one escort works from the same location. From the client's perspective it is immaterial.

Whether the escort is working alone or sharing, the buying of the service is a crime. That is the law that was being referred to i think.

Well unless you're the client, by law you are already committing an offense
That's why it's advisable to go to a lady you know that won't sell you down the river to save her skin.
Having said that every escort had to start somewhere. Common sense is what is important. If you have the slightest inkling that it is a brothel or more importantly if you think she has been trafficked leave immediately and inform EI. I said EI rather than the Guards because some people do over react in what may be a totally legit situation (Well that and the fact you're paying for sex which is unfortunately against the law on this island).

I suggest asking if any other escorts are working in the apartment before going there
Some may refuse to answer wondering are you going to rob them others may not answer
Its a tricky one but after service is too late to get worried.
Hotel rooms are the best bet imo
No, I meant before service - as in standing there naked after the shower.
After service would be a tad cheeky!
It obviously wasn't a deal-breaker, however I am more cautious with recent legislation being passed.
