That would be my approach to it.
You can be 'controversial' without bullying, which I think is a better label to add to a lot of posts here. Controversy invokes thought in people, and making people think for themselves is very productive I think. Not enough people think for themselves, there are way too many followers in life, not enough leaders or thinkers.
