Toyota Team with Fernando Alonso win Le Mans 24hr Race

The Toyota team comprising Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi have won the Le Mans 24 Hours race. This is Fernando Alonso’s first attempt at the Le Mans race.

It’s almost 50 years since a driver won both the Monaco GP and Le Mans.
Graham Hill won both and also the Indy 500 – the only driver ever to do so and win motorsports “triple crown” of Indy 500, Monaco and Le Mans.

Fernando Alonso will most likely now be interested in also winning the “triple crown” by winning the Indy 500, and this may affect his future in Formula One.
