As someone who has passed through all London airports and many other English airports traveling to both Dublin and Belfast I’m very surprised that she was able to pass through as a Ronanian without any proper paperwork!

“She was taken directly to the airport and, in the book, deals with how her captors were able to walk her through security without anyone checking their detatils

Any time I made this trip there was always security checks, not only on the English side but also in Dublin and I’m Irish!

I hate to hear any story about trafficking - the idea that anyone could “sell” another person for sex or anything else sickens me. I keep hearing about trakkicking here in Ireland through the media, it sounds as Ireland is a very bad place and that we Irish are happy for this modern day slavery to take place for our benefit!

Is Ireland and the people how live here really that bad? I would like to think not but the media portrays a different opinion.

Yes that piece about the airport jumped out at me too. Not saying it isn’t true.

No, but if I was going to kidnap a smart intelligent young lady - someone who studied nursing and psychology I don’t think I’d be bringing them through a busy UK airport against their will! Sourounded by all that security why didn’t she raise the alarm?

Then when here in Ireland it took a drug dealer to realise she was in trouble? It took a someone who peddles in death to help rescue her - that doesn’t say a lot for all the other punters who she encountered and saw the condition she was in.

Well yes there are a lot of holes in this story! Doesn’t mean part are not true. But the fact that no other punter asked anything until the drug dealers who wanted to start a brothel suddenly decided to help her and in doing so started a war with a Romanian gang and most lightly his contacts for getting girls.

Yes they could take her through the airport undetected the pimps could.
Why they could have her family threaten to be murder and have detail of her family where about.
Pimps are people who blackmail and lie to get what they want and kill to get it also.

And heard many stories of Ladies been promise of good Jobs by people they trust, and then force and blackmail into sex business to work as Escort.
Because their family be murdered if don't corporate with them.

Worrying thing about all this is. Clients who went to meet her, and comm on some must had known she was in trouble and turn a blind eye to it.
Shame on them clients who maybe knew
But their own sexual need and desire was more important then to see she clearly a Lady didn't want and not consenting to sex.
Let hope now that she spoke out other will not hide in fear of been afraid to not speak up.

It is possible that if she was highly traumatised at the time, she doesn't clearly remember being checked etc. Trauma can warp our perception of things, timelines, details etc....it can also highlight details as well. The mind under stress is a curious place.
