Two parts to that you have to get a visa to go there, and it seems of late a return flight. if you have not got good funds in bank and some accommodation pre arranged it may work against you , so most are booking flights and at least a few nights in advance , once there cost of living is v low if you move out of hotels , you can use various web sites to work it out, not been there for a few years so my sense of it may not be accurate . In general in Ireland we are perceived as low risk to start working there and I mean like bar tending before anyone jumps on "working "

If you cannot find someone you know to go with, then go alone. Depending on where you go you will find like minded people out there who you can decide to go around with or just stick by yourself.

And don’t carry anyone’s luggage or presents back as you will have an extended holiday you have seen Bridget Jones !
