    6 February, 1918.
Having been debated in and passing both Houses of Parliament, and receiving Royal Assent; The Representation of the People Bill becomes law.
For the first time, some women, in the United Kingdom of Brie-in and Oirland ,will be extended the vote.
Women over 30,who are on the Local Government Register or who are property owners ,will get the franchise.
The franchise will also be extended to most males over 21.
A proposal for some proportional representation in the bill was turned down in the House of Commons.
