November 6th 1986, sir alex ferguson appointed manager of man utd. What a job he did there.

He did but it took four seasons for him to achieve success at Man U starting with their FA Cup win in 1990. I don`t think that in the present era he or anyone else would be given that amount of breathing space.

Today actress jean fergusson dies age 74. She used to be marina in last of the summer wine. I think she was howards bit on the side. Anyone even remember last of the summer wine?

Fuck's sake I remember when it was first of the summer wine Ketchup ! Foggy, Compo and Clegg were the classic trio although Peter Sallis' character Norman Clegg was the only character on it throughout the series.
Watching Howard and Marina's "sexploits" certainly gives me hope for the future - there's life in the old dog yet !

Yes and I always think about how tragic is this picture taken the day that Lennon was shot showing him signing a copy of his Double Fantasy album for that psycho Mark Chapman who would murder him a few hours later.
