Yes, seems strange but, according to the United Nations, Worldwide, 4.2 billion people live without "safely managed sanitation" and around 673 million people practice open defecation.
This has major implications for general health.

40 years ago today, 8th December 1980, John Lennon was shot dead by Mark Chapman outside the Dakota building in New York. I was a schoolboy at the time but I still clearly remember the shock I felt when I heard the news about his death.

That`s right and William Roache is still in the series as Ken Barlow having been in that 1st episode 60 years ago. He holds the world record for playing the same character for all these decades.

Yes I saw the news about Liam Reilly a little while ago. Shocking, he was only 65 and is the first celebrity to die in 2021. RIP. In tribute to Liam here is Bagatelle`s most remembered song.

Gerry Marsden the former lead singer of Gerry and the Pacemakers has died at the age of 78. Marsden's band was one of the biggest success stories of the Merseybeat era, and in 1963 became the first to have their first three songs top the chart. One of those songs You`ll Never Walk alone has of course become the anthem of Livrerpool FC ever since then. RIP
