EI Outage – Lessons Learnt

I signed with EI April 2011 .

Beautiful simple layout with ALL pertinent information right there on the one single page with our pictures .

Ran like a dream , never a blackout that I recall .


New team took over in 2015 (?) , shiny brightly sparkly bells an' whistles , scrolling beauties ,

confusing and misleading layout for Customers seeking services ;

Maintenance , Power Outage , Search messed up and around ,

And THAT is only what You Guys have to deal with .


It's a Whole lot more difficulties and daily administrative challenges for us girls !

Each and every day it seems .



Bottom line , old layout and functionality was pretty darn awesome-simple and visually pleasing too ....

Why he heck mess with it !!

Fads (visual and Internet etc. ) come and go , a Classic Design -- if has the Confidence !! -- will remain in Vogue !!

Can you blame E-I for this, these things happen, its life and most still wants a new improved hi-tech glamourous site and this means more problems, isn't that why they pay the big money for,

Very easy to say but if an escort is paying 300 a week on here, paying for a room and paying to advertise on another site too, it doesn't leave much money for her secretary.

Other sites aren't as expensive as E-I. Danny is right, no lessons learned. Escorts keep making E-I the only show in town in ROI. Buying into it, making it a monopoly. In turn E-I can now charge them whatever it likes for advertising. I doubt there is another escort site anywhere which charges so much for adverts. You reap what you sow. On the whole E-I is very reliable, so is Amazon, so is Tesco. But high street and local stores close down and producers and suppliers get a bad deal.
Everyone making E-I a monolith and then crying on the rare occasions it goes down should take a look in the mirror or grow up.

We have been dealing direct with advertisers regarding compensation. This is not something up for public discussion.

The management staff from each of our offices met yesterday and today to review and review various policies. We learned a lot of lessons from this.

We already have full HA on all of our equipment with N+1 on every resource, there are however a few points of failure that we had not envisaged ever failing (due to the size of the corporations offering the services who claim to have N+2 on their equipment) on critical parts of our infrastructure that we now know is not the case.

We hope that we never have a similar situation again and i commend the efforts of our whole team during the incident.

I am not really interested in what caused the problem once EI have learnt from this outage, reviewed their processes & then revised their processes accordingly.

It is alleged that the reason for the long delay in the recovery of the RBS banks systems was because a number of different RBS subsidiary Bank Groups were being processed by the same servers. I understand that now each RBS Bank Group have their own servers. Thus the recovery of any one groups system is a lot quicker as it is separate from the other groups.
