Tattoos Can Cause Cancer; Chemical Found In The Ink Has Been Studied; New Research Suggests

Tattoos Apparently Cause Cancer And This Is The Worst Colour To Get
Think before you ink. This famous quote is somehow back, as a new study suggests that Tattoos can cause cancer. The researchers found cancer-causing chemical found in the ink.

The said study that has been published in the journal Scientific Reports, suggests that the chemicals found in tattoo ink travel in the bloodstream. It is then accumulating the lymph nodes which may cause them to become swollen. It will then block the ability to fight the infections.

The said chemical is found to be a titanium dioxide. It is added in the tattoo ink to create certain colors. It even dyes the lymph nodes. This chemical has been previously linked to cancer. It also causes itching and the delay of healing.

The study author, from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in France, Hiram Castillo said that "When someone wants to get a tattoo, they are often very careful in choosing a parlor where they use sterile needles that haven't been used previously. No one checks the chemical composition of the colors, but our study shows that maybe they should," according to Mail Online.

The experts believe that the particles may be transmitted in the blood or engulfs by the immune cells that subsequently deposit them. This deposit has the possibility that may cause the lymph nodes to swell, it can then impair the ability to fight the infection and filter out the pathogens.

In line, one of the study author, Bernhard Hesse claimed that they already knew that the pigments form the tattoos would travel the lymph nodes because of a visual evidence. He added that "What we didn't know is that they do it in a nano form, which implies that they may not have the same behavior as the particles at a micro level. And that is the problem: we don't know how nanoparticles react," according to The Sun.

As follows, Castillo said that if someone gets a tattoo, they are often extra careful in choosing a parlor where it is very clean and sterile. Also, clients make sure that the needles are clean and not reused. However, researchers said that no one checks the chemical composition of the colors. They claimed that their new study shows that customers should check the chemical composition.

One of my oncologists mentioned that there is a problem with tattoos in relation to seeing skin changes/moles changing size colour shape or even noticing that a new one has appeared due to ink and thats a problem for skin cancer , early diagnosis is rather important
