have there been concerns expressed? i dont remember seeing such posts. what exactly are they? How many members expressed them? pb

I am referring to the posts that people have put up in relation to chat being dead lately that are there for all to read. If no new posters then it follows that no new chatters also. Most but not all people who chat also by and large post. The health of one affects the health of the other.

Fright to f**k that anything I say here to better things for all ends up in bullshit from those most vocal about the problems here but do nothing to put forward solutions.

Also you use the term troll in reply to him even though he has only posted a handful of times and hardly conducive to attracting new posters or new people in chat room which many members who you have had regular interactions with have expressed concern about so as mod I ask you to not brand people who are only in the door and have done nothing to warrant being called a troll.

Because both you and bigpaws are long time posters. I was referring to “new” posters and the dangers inherent in the automatic suspicion and sometimes the attack that any “new” poster is put under as it must be a factor in putting a lot of people of taking part and if you would pull your head out of your arse about your personnel gripe with me for 5 seconds and had any interest in the vitality of this place you would see that that issue is a valid one that needs to addressed and discussed if this place is to avoid eventually just having half a dozen posters with 1500 posts each prattling on at each other.

But instead of that you decide that I am having a go at Stewie. I responded to his post and that is all but I sure do have a knack of getting some of you going for ever and a day whenever I want.

well luther expressed the same problem of how new posters were treated nastily. on analysis, the problem was seen that new posters were treated suspiciously.

is it any wonder when we have trolls the likes of leo the lion and freya and frenchstik popping along for a bit of trolling at random times, so yes we do need to be the french resistance and look for bullshit in new posters contrary to what you said.

also, i dont think the problem is as exaggerated as your claiming here, i think theres plenty of activity from newer posters, certainly on the forum. chat is a totally random thing in how much its used.

anyway, the people who are vocal in whatever problems there are here, do present solutions, their version of it, which is compared to anothers version of the solution. from that a solution is tried. from that we know if it works or not.
