Usually, if you are suspicious of a new poster then the best policy is to ignore him. Do I know whether Cornelius is a bisexual man with a 10 inch dick, a desire to be treated as a baby, and no prior history on the forum? No. Do I care? No. If he is up to something then I don't want to play whatever his game is by replying to his posts. If he is genuine then there is no reason to reply unless I have something useful to say.

In the short time I've been here I've seen several of these new posters who seem not to be new. In all but one case my suspicions have been confirmed pretty quickly. It never did me any harm to wait, though.

Every time a new user comes here, they are almost always attacked for one reason or another............... usually because they are straight away suspected of being some else under a different user name..

Yes I think it does sometimes! Not in this instance obviously, you were quite correct here!!!

But I think it does happen sometimes and I think it puts people off joining or posting and the old "are you bigpaws" threads appear again.........

But less of late I think, this has always annoyed me for some reason...........

Oh this new user seems to know their way around very quickly........ or oh they seem to know all about what's going on here for somebody that just joined........

So what!!!! It is possible that they could have been using the site and reading the forum for a long time before they registered so give them a chance............

I've no doubt this happens, but if you suspect it, give it a while, see what happens, if it is a genuine new user then at least they haven't been attacked and frightened away and if it is somebody else, well they won't take long to reveal their true colours.......

The comments I made to Cornelius were based on his posts.

A blind man with a stick could see from the posts he made that not only was he not a new user he was posting to illicit a negative response ie trolling.


Personally I don't attack people because they are new but if they are acting the bollox then I will point it out.

Well for what it worth IMO the fact that multiple accounts are tolerated to the extent that at least 2 moderators operate them ( for whatever reason) does make people more suspicious of "new" users.

That said I don't think people get attacked or abused for being new.
