Hardly a word of french , takes photo..buys drinks and voila ...new friends!!...we discover mutual love of rugby..soccer..socialism...the pretty busty barmaid/owner who may lose her bar because she let's her customers behind it!

It is a one bar. Two church town in deepest darkest rural France.
Full of characters.. The counsellor who has been union all his life and never had a pay rise but is proud to say he only works 6 months of the year..the local rugby coach who nearly made it as a pro...the baker who's fame is as far and wide as his waist

I am living the Maupassant/Joyce life although no absinthe yet

Yes friends life is good and wine is cheap and the women smile their knowing smiles and so you dream.

we like the Irish and the ones saying they are dirty alcoholics is just not true, we all like a drink but never found one that was dirty in all my years here
