All three were stirring the shit and kept it going for hours, tit for tat. All three have previous history of similar sniping and jibes and if banning were needed, for a while, it was even handed and equally deserved.

Hi guys,

For those who want to know the length of each ban:

Stephanie - 1 week ban
EIFII - 1 week ban
Bella rose - 2 weeks ban

They were all banned for what was being said in another thread.
Each were given a 1 day ban, but I extended the ban to which I thought suited best for them.

I do hope that repeat of last night will not happen again, as it if it to continue, there will be permanent bans given.

The mods are in a tough spot. I know. It's way easier to just have a hard set of rules and to administer justice blindly based on those rules. So if a few people go at it, don't take their warnings (if any), then they get the sentence passed down. This keeps things simple and it's easy for mods to explain.

Then there is common fucking sense, which is about as common as knicker-wearing sharks. If you take the whole picture - someone who has been routinely shitstirring, provoking, threatening, and the worst type of faux-nice nasty - and then on the other side someone who is generally well-behaved, a little cheeky and flirty, who doesn't threaten but doesn't back down to nasty bitchiness. It's tougher having common sense because then it looks like you're not being even handed, and you need to make a judgment call about behaviour that is not strictly written in the rules. And you'll get a bollocking from people who don't understand your nuanced interpretation of rules. I know, it's tough, and I don't want to criticise but.... but...... but...... there is something wrong here. Something unjust.

I hope common sense prevails here. Dig out the root of the problem, rather than just tell everyone to ignore it. Some people find it tough to sit back and watch bullies in action. And no, they shouldn't get involved, but maybe cut them a little more slack than the bullies.

With regard to Stephanie, I have to agree entirely.
I do not know the lady and have never met her but she comes across as very intelligent and level headed in her approach to the back and forth within the forums.
I think the ban was a bit heavy handed but I am not sitting in the mods chair trying to evaluate the situation.
I am not one to sit back and watch others get intimidated and bullied and can sometimes come cross as a little over opinionated.
But... We all have our cross to bear.
There is without doubt validation in your argument, "Dig out the root of the problem". And it's not too hard to see where that is.
