Has the new law come into force yet?

As far as I can tell from the Irish Statute Book the new law is not yet in force, as there is still no commencement date. That would be my reading of the situation anyway as per the website. So that means that the situation right now is the same as ever, nothing has yet changed yet, or am I wrong?

Looks like the gardaí would appear to have little enough of time on their hands to start enforcing the new law if the one million fake breath tests is anything to go. Sounds like they might be at full-stretch.
Either that, or they will start inputting fake punter arrests into the system, which would also be good news for genuine escort enthusiasts out there.
