It gets confusing here sometimes when people use certain terms that, in the absence of a clear definition, seem to mean different things to different people.

It was also noticeable the confusion that exists around how people interpret the various adverts (whether people interpret listed services as being included, or just that they're available and that they may cost extra).

I hate semantic arguments, and I've been involved in a couple in the past couple of days. The 2 terms that were being interpreted differently were 'independent', and 'basic'. I think this is an important point because, unless it's cleared up, it could affect the perception of certain girls.

'Independent' should not have any ambiguity associated with it. It's clear enough to me what it means. In the argument I was having last night, the other party assumed that 'independent' meant the girl was sitting in an apartment on her own. Accusing someone of not being 'independent' is pretty serious, even if the accuser interprets it differently to it's actual meaning.

'Basic' is something I still don't get. My understanding of 'basic' service was that a certain fee would get you in the door. If you're lucky you get to hold hands. Anything more is extra (see the '50 Euro Escort' thread). My experiences with all of the girls I've seen have been, to my mind, anything but basic. Yet here's this term being thrown around, probably meaning different things to different people, which results in everyone interpreting it differently.

I think this is more of a rant than anything else. People (myself included) are having arguments where I'm arguing blue is grey, with another person who's arguing that yellow is green. ie: a big waste of time.

I guess it's due to the general lack of consistency, but it would be hard to enforce such consistency, given the nature of the business.

Anyway, rant over.
