Default Dublin What a Rip Off !!!

Arrived in Dublin yesterday AM with 2 friends and was only supposed to be here till this evening but someone cocked up! Anyway, could not hire car, no one had DL. So took taxi from North City to Ballsbridge and I thought when I saw fare he was selling me the car!! Then when I asked Hotel to stay for 2 extra nights and it was going from 220 per night to 495 for tonight because of Rod Stewart and rugby, jeez what!! got special rate as here till Monday but Christ what a rip off. Taxi from Ballsbridge to 3 arena last night was outrageous, but tried to get cab from Harcourt st to Ballsbridge at 4 am and could not even buy one (long walk). Got car today from work friends here, so got to spend some hours with someone very special and same tomorrow. Oh, BTW cheapest tickets for rugby were 500, are we back in “tiger land” again? and how the hell do you Ladies manage it or even bother to come over.?? You guys are very lucky with quality and price here!!

First sorry to hear mate as prices of hotel anywhere in Ireland will jack price up if concert or event is staged..And yes taxi are expensive but it can be same in other place especially if trying to get home from pub or club..But Dublin is a expensive place to lived or stay for weekend as I stay in Dortmund only couple weeks back for 4 nights in 4 star hotel for weekend as cost 260 euro bed and breakfast...So yes you right about ladies as it not easy for them either...

Was planned well in advance and if all went well would be home now, instead of tomorrow, just a cock up.

That is always the problem with Capital Cities, they just know how to rip you off.
I could never afford to live in Dublin or London, I would always be broke.

So no different really, just a bigger credit card to pay off.
