However this was the first and only public poll that didn't grab many voters attention and had the worst turnout. It was still an unofficialy recognised competition. Instead of nominations the girls were selected for public voting by the number of positive reviews they generated. Gemma was the first girl to be awarded the title. At the time it was an unofficial title. There were no rules or guidlines so everything was put together quickly. Members were asked to nominate Escorts that would be placed in a poll and then voted for. Gemma was very popular at the time and only 18 years old.
