were they trafficked or is just an excuse, if there are 2 girls sharing, they tell that they are trafficked to made it look better for themselves

The problem here is we have ignorant escorts and even more ignorant clients
The Guards probably put a bit of pressure on the guy and he buckled.
Same with the escorts as if pressurised a little they will save their own skin and will squeal on the client like they done with me.
You only have to give the Guards your correct name/address, nothing more in this situation.

5k will well cover the fines, its so stupid this as if they were trafficked why fine the girls, deportation now awaits and the law is really fucked up and not targeting what they should be targeting.

How can they be trafficked and guilty of an offence? They're either offenders or victims or is the law so screwed up that somebody can be both?

You can be guilty of anything if you admit it, plead guilty, and don't get proper legal advice.
From what little I know about this case (from only reading what is here and on RTE news admittedly) a half-competent lawyer would have driven a coach and four throught the entire case.

I would suspect they didn't want any fuss so they let the cops convince them to "own up" and this is the result.
