Firstly! what a Garda says in court as part of a prosecution is an accusation! Just because someone is accused of something does not mean they are guilty — that's why we have a court system and why the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.

Secondly, Just because someone may know someone who may be involved in an alleged gang does not mean they are a member of that alleged gang!

As for insulting our intelligence — telling someone what they can and cannot say without knowing all the facts before they say anything is something I find insulting.

In some cases the only reason the Guards raid a place is because they have had complaints from the neighbours. They are not really interested in prosecutions — but they have to be seen to be doing something when someone reports that they think a brothel is operating in the area.

I totally agree with you about moonlightbeauty — she does not post on here much at all which in some way is a pity but I can understand why she does not when you see they way topics go on here!
