I was in having my routine sti examination the other day and she asked me have i or will i be having sex with non-irish women and that if I was
she strongly advised me that i should get the hepatitis b vaccine.....because i will be meeting women from all over the world and from some parts of the world where there is a very percentage get the vaccine.

Well since the vaccine is to prevent getting the disease, surely you should test first to ensure you don't already have it.

A bit pointless if you already do.

Once the results are in, if you don't have hep b, then really, wtf is the big deal? Get the vaccine or don't.

i know i dont have it...i only had one partner for a few years and have never had sex outside of that without a condom and ive never been with a girl from outside this country.
I will get the hep B jab next week......its just its the one thing that can be passed on like a flu....i was glad i went to the clinic as i now know.

from comments a lot seem to not know a lot about hepatitis B....they seem to think a condom prevents it...very silly.

Ebola can be passed on like a flu too. And a vaccine now exists for that too. Condom won't prevent transmission of Ebola...

i know what i said....but from my clinic appointment i now know different and im glad i do......
and u should be thanking me....because you now know too that a condom does not prevent hepititis B......best to get the vaccine which ill be doing next week.
