You seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that you are a witty and intelligent poster. You are neither. Your post above is just incoherent nonsense.

I don't know what luas drivers bus drivers and escorts make per annum. I don't think our Taoiseach should make more than the American President. I think most high ranking senior civil servants are overpaid especially when you take their pensions and expenses into account. I don't begrudge the bus and luas drivers their strike if it was a last resort in negotiating. I really don't think there was that much public wrath over the strikes, but most of my colleagues and social circle don't rely on public transport, so it may have passed me by.
If anyone think escorts charge too little, they should leave a good tip.
If anyone thinks escorts charge too much, they shouldn't see them. It seems that simple to me.
I actually didn't write that considering escorts' income, but now I read your response I consider it in a new light. On point 4:

"4) Their salary was at or above the average industrial wage to begin with"

As this applies to escorts, this really is an unknown to us punters. Just because a lady charges, say €200/hr, does not mean she works 40 billable hours per week like the rest of us. I am sure that the numbers of hours actually billed for in a week is much less.

I'm not naive to think the ladies would not do the job if it was not worth the money, I'm just saying the headline rate does not equal what a lot of people think - oh, 200/hr x 40 hours = 8,000 per week. Tax free. Well the tax free part may be right but I would think the reality is probably half or even less than half. Then factor in costs and the risks....

    To answer some other aspects:

Figures supplied by Transdev reveal that tram drivers on €42,247 a year are seeking a 53.8pc increase to €64,993

Average wage in 2015 was about €36K

Taoiseach earns: Since 2013, the Taoiseach's annual salary is €185,350
US President Earns: Since 2001, the president has earned a $400,000 annual salary, along with a $50,000 annual expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account, and $19,000 for entertainment

As for holding the country to ransom, I'm afraid they really did. Even, or especially if you do not use public transport. The traffic was anarchy on those strike days.

I also believe nurses are undervalued but this isn't a medical forum. I will say what comes into my head without being called pathetic by you or anyone else so take a hike

I have never whinged about high rates.
As I said in my previous post YOU have the right to do whatever you like.
    Keep up the good work

There is a saying. Money talks wealth whispers. You really seem on a mission to convince others of your wealth and generosity. One ponders why?

Do you imagine that nurses are sitting around awaiting your validation? How enormously arrogant.

I certainly don't believe escorts are waiting my validation. How presumptuous you are!

And btw I am not going to call you pathetic or arrogant because only a coward throws out insults anonymously...whoops I just called you a coward.

They are not insults, merely factually correct statements.
