With the free freedompop sim you can only text/call via their app, so its all separate.

Yeah but going off the warning section, if someone takes something bad you can just bin the alt sim and forget it.

    Keep everything private.
Personally a man asked me to text him when in Belfast, he is a good reg so I did.
My "Hello I'm in Belfast" msg popped up on his phone while his grandson was playing a game on it and grandson wanted to know who the nice lady is

Emails should also be separate, I got an email attached to someones face book account and all his family etc were showing.

Separate even if you have no partner is the way to go imo.
what sort of idiot sends pictures of his family in an email to a working girl

I have stopped accepting friend requests on FB people with their real accounts showing all their family send requests, can you imagine an Escort popping up on your friends of friends settings
When it comes to infosec in general, people are pretty dumb especially on social media. People put so much info out there publicly then are surprised when people can find said information.

Ah the old "punting phone " unless you change the sim every day is of no use. OK if you do not want o/have to find out yes, but unless for security. As some guys have said on here escorts have their number saved. Now I maybe wrong but if raided do police not check you phone? Certainly if there was a problem or any kind they would and all the numbers can be cross checked.
Even without sim on wifi the newer smart phone knows exactly where you are (were) and cameras everywhere you are very easily spotted.

I have separate everything and nothing attached to anything private.

But as a smarter person said, if anyone really wants to find you they will.

My take on it is be careful and don't go overboard worrying
My 'real' Facebook is totally locked down, no pics, nobody can message or add me, and the surname changed enough that anyone who knows me know it's me, but anyone searching couldn't find it.

Maybe it's just a symptom of being an unsociable bastard to begin with, but I don't like shit being out there.

Edit to add because it sounds like I'd be better without an account. And I would. But it's become the default cross platform messaging platform, and being able to make calls over it is handy when you live in a mobile signal black hole.

Good points. The bottom line is there are a lot of folk who looking at things objectively really shouldn't be punting at all because the consequences of being "caught in the act" are too stark. Thankfully I don't belong in that category and can punt away merrily punting phone or no punting phone
