John is not gone anywhere, just banned. Maybe only temporary. He left 7 reviews over the last 8 months, so I'm sure he will continue to visit escorts, God love them.
John has major issues with regards to women and also other people's feelings. He is not normal, but who is? I detested some of his posts but also saw a clever self control aspect in the way he responded to the barrage of criticism. He knew where the line was and he knew when to walk away. He was no ordinary troll. Not sure if you classify him as a guilty pleasure, but I couldn't resist reading his posts, and on occasions, despite better judgement, get involved.
If there is such a thing, he deserves "troll of the year"!
Probably a sign right there that he's bad news bears.

There are some very bad people out there, some quite unhinged. Reading his posts may encourage them to get real nasty.
There could be very unpleasant ripple effects to his posts. Anyone who can't see this needs to wake up.
I don't accept the "I was only messing" line for his actions that some people are putting forward.

The John Dunne persona has riled me as much as anyone here but in hindsight I suspect I was played.
Could be the alter ego of an established member, could be some post grad girl doing her thesis on Irish Punters and Sex Workers for all I know. But it is an invented persona.
One way or the other, he/she or whoever is probably having a nice chuckle reading this thread including my contribution.
