Nasty ass is the poor lad's way of emphasing, nothing more.
It was about how, yet again, he was boxing with pikeys (Guy Ritchie has a lot to answer for;-) and, yet again, he had injured/broken a bone in his hand and the cast on said hand was rubbing him raw when '' spanking the monkey''(his words)

In fairness, it was quite a short JD opening post.
Some sarcastic people were making comments, including at each other and then - poof;-) vanished.
