Depends on what part of Ireland you are in. Up north it is illegal to pay for sex. Having said that it is near impossible for the police to enforce. Stick to escorts with verified pictures and escorts who allow reviews.

when will people get this? the worst that can happen is youre called as a witness if youre caught in a raid
the legalities and illegalities are different depending on if you are the client or the escort, we should only concern ourselves with how it relates to the client, everything else is irrelevant unless its an escort/brothel manager asking, and just serves to confuse things
